We are getting up close and personal with Miami's favorite entertainment TV Host on Deco Drive Miami. She's also a noted fashion blogger with a seriously unique style. From posh to comfy casual this Miami fashionista proves that style gets better with age. Check our exclusive interview with her here.
Q : Where do you live?
Q : How old are you?
Old enough to know better, young enough not to care.
Q : Tell us about yourself?
I’m an Entertainment Host, BFCA Film Critic, fashion & food blogger for WSVN, Channel 7/Deco Drive in Miami. I’m originally from New Mexico, but I consider myself a Miami girl now. I have a dog named Rigby, who is the apple of my eye and my boyfriend, James, is from London, England and he’s an amazing photographer.
Q : What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
Coffee!! Walk the dog and head to the gym.
Q : You’re gorgeous, what does your beauty routine look like?
Thank you! As much sleep as possible, sunscreen, moderate exercise, healthy eating and martini’s — shaken, not stirred.
Q : If you had to wear the same outfit for the rest of your life - what would it be?
A pouffy skirt from Ted Baker, a graphic t-shirt and a pair of Chuck’s (Converse).
Q : We want to know, what’s in your bag?
My trusty gold MacBook, iPhone, wallet, TV earpiece, make-up, hairspray and the kitchen sink if I could fit it. Oh, and some type of turkey jerky and the keys to my Jeep.
Q : Who’s your favorite musician to jam out to when no one’s looking?
Q : If you could travel anywhere in the world - where would it be?
That’s a tough one, I’ve been around it a few times. Currently, I’m obsessed with going to the Greek Islands.
Q : What’s your favorite thing to do in your down time?
Watching movies and some kind of reality TV (TLC is on permanent lockdown on the remote.)
Q : They say you are what you eat, what are you?
Veggies, fish, hot sauce, coffee, vodka and blue cheese olives.
Q : If your best friends could tell us something embarrassing about you, what would it be?
I can never remember where I put my phone - even when it’s in my hand.
Q : What are your favorite looks from Bikini Luxe?
I adore the Agua Bendita Aries bikini set and the Agua Bendita Quetzal bikini set; both are colorful, sexy and classy.
Q : Where do you get your sense of style from?
I’ve developed it over the years, comfort is key and I also like femininity a lot. I describe myself as gypsy/boho meets urban chic.
Q : What inspired you to start your own Blog?
Strangely, enough, pain. It was therapeutic at first, writing about the struggles I was facing, I never thought anyone would read it. As I grew as a person and journalist, the blog evolved into what it is today and surprisingly, I built a fan base who appreciates more than just fashion and food; they appreciate life stories and how we’re all connected because of the human condition.
Q : Tell us about your dream collab, who is it and why?
I’ve interviewed so many celebrities and designers, I find the best stories are the ones you least expect… ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
Q : Girls worldwide want to do what you’re doing, do you have any advice for them?
Know what’s going on in the world around you, be a solid writer and remember, journalism is about telling other people’s stories, not about being on TV. As far as blogging, find what you love and write about it, because if you love it, it’ll show and you’ll easily be able to command the topic.
