As a member of one of the most notorious families in reality TV "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", Kendall Jenner has made headlines countless times for countless reasons. She has had a mildly successful modeling career as part of what Vogue magazine refers to as the Instagirl era. Similarly, Harper's Bazaar refers to her as a social media model.
In 2014, Kendall began appearing in fashion week shows all over the world. By 2015 Forbes magazine had named her among the highest paid models. She earned an estimated $4 million in order to secure her place on their list. By the end of 2017, Kendall had been named Forbes highest paid model of the year.
Kendall Jenner Bio
Kendall took years to become a successful model, having started at the age of 14. She finished 2009 and kicked off 2010 by modeling in a Forever 21 campaign. The very next year she appeared at the Fashion Week for Mercedes Benz. She ended 2012 having been a cover model for Flavour, Teen Prom, Lovecat and Gen Lux.
Aside from modeling, Kendall has also dipped her toes into the business world. In 2011 she teamed up with a nail polish line to put forth her own contributions. The collection was called Kardashian Kolors. Along with her sister Kylie, she also worked as Creative Director for a webisode series, the two starred in for the brand Gilette. They also went on to release their own lines of shoes and jewelry.
2017 saw the sisters selling new vintage t-shirts on their website, though the designs of the t-shirts caused controversy that ended in Kylie and Kendall removing the shirts from their website and ensuring they were no longer for sale.
Kendall Jenner Pepsi Commercial
Kendall is no stranger to controversy. One example of her getting into hot water with the public is when she starred in a 2017 Pepsi commercial. In the commercial, Kendall was the peacemaker between protestors and the police department. The idea behind the ad was that Pepsi brings people together. This led to controversy when it was decided that the commercial did nothing more than a trivialization of police brutality. As a result, Pepsi immediately took the commercial off the air and even apologized to Kendall for including her in it.
Few celebrities have made much of a splash in the world of social media as Kendall Jenner has.
