Brunch at Little Hen Miami

Turning a year older deserves more than just cake.. it deserves a scene. This year, my birthday was all about indulgence, sunshine, and dreamy vibes at Little Hen Miami, a place where brunch isn’t just a meal—it’s a statement.

Outdoor Brunch at Little Hen

Let’s talk about the vibe because it’s EVERYTHING! Imagine a garden where whimsy meets sophistication, floral accents that feel straight out of an editorial spread, tables made for clinking glasses, and a pastel color palette so soft it could double as an IG filter.

If you sit outside, you’ll feel like royalty presiding over your private garden party. But note, the wind can play diva sometimes—one moment you're savoring your mimosa, and the next, it’s competing with your hair for attention. That was the case on this visit but c'est la vie.

Top Dishes to Try at Little Hen

The food at Little Hen isn’t just delicious—it’s unapologetically indulgent.

  • Chilaquiles: Forget subtle. This dish knows it’s the star. The tortilla chips are perfectly crisp, the sauce has a bold, tangy flair, and every bite feels like it’s saying, "You’re welcome." I always get mine with chicken and have them skip the eggs, but you do you babes.
  • Bourbon Batter French Toast: This isn’t just French toast; it’s a love letter to breakfast. The caramelized pear brings a soft sweetness, while the smoky maple bacon is like a sultry backbeat to the melody.

Oh, and if you’re still undecided? Just get both. Calories don’t count on your birthday—or when you’re at Little Hen. Whether you’re team savory or sweet, Little Hen’s menu has something to dazzle your taste buds.

Coffee, Tea, & More

The food isn't the only star here, you'll spot gorgeous girls sipping all sorts of frilly drinks here, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

  • Rose Latte: Why drink a boring regular latte when it can arrive pink, covered in dried rose petals, & with a dash of rose syrup?
  • Cotton Candy Prosecco: A tableside pour onto a puff of pink cotton candy? Adorable. The drink itself? Fine. Makes for a cute video though :)
  • Mimosas: This is the place you go with the girlies to catch up over mimosas. This time I brought a bottle of Veuve Cliquot (a gift from a friend) and requested a side of orange juice. The corkage fee was $50.
  • Tea: I am a sucker for a tea pot, let's be honest. Sitting here with a cutesy pink tea pot fixes everything.

Celebrating a Special Occassion in Miami

Little Hen feels like stepping into your Pinterest board’s dreamland—every detail is so on point that it’s almost too perfect to eat. It’s a place that screams, “Celebrate everything,” from birthdays to just making it through the week. And the best part? No matter where you sit, every angle is photogenic.

Gather your inner circle, order the good stuff, and raise your glass to life’s sweetest moments. The mimosas here? They hit different.

A free bottle of prosecco each month? Did this just become our go-to girls day spot?! Not to mention, it can be difficult to get a reservation at Little Hen, especially last minute. Perhaps being a member would be worth it just for that.

How the Experience Could Have Been Better

I obviously really enjoy this place, but as much as I love the aesthetic, the service can be hit or miss. I am incredibly patient and worked in food service as a young adult, so I understand that things can go wrong and a server can get in the weeds if being double sat, etc. But, on this most recent visit our waitress was obviously in over her head. It took a long while to be properly greeted, I had to grab her attention as she ran by the table to ask for water. We could tell it would be a while until we got to eat so we ordered sides of sausage and truffle fries with our coffee to have something to nibble on while we waited.

The bottle of champagne I brought to celebrate with friends? I had to ask her twice for a bucket of ice to put it in so the bottle wouldn't get warm, she seemed annoyed the second time I asked. When it still didn't materialize I asked another girl and it eventually showed up. Considering there's a $50 corkage fee & they also sell bottles I would assume they understand the basics of these things.

Later on, it was obvious the waitress didn't have experience in opening bottles and the cork flew off dangerously close to her face, champagne spilling all over the floor, going to waste. The orange juice I requested for mimosas was served in a tall drinking glass instead of something easier to add to the champagne flutes. It took forever for her to take our food orders and when mine arrived.. it was cold. Womp womp womp.

Is it a big deal? Not really, but when you're paying a premium for things, celebrating a special occasion, and bringing groups of friends each time you visit, you want it to be a good experience for everyone involved. If you're impatient or a stickler for good service, good luck lol :)
