The girls couldn’t have done it any better at Miami Swim Week 2016. From hippies to gorgeous mermaids, this year’s Swim Week is one you will never forget. The stage was hot as brands like Kaohs, Indah, Frankie’s Bikinis, Kai Lani, San Lorenzo, Maaji, and Luli Fama's models strutted down the runway to show off their luxurious bikinis.
With an extremely cute performance, Frankie’s charmed the audience with their 60’s theme. The models matched their bikinis with body paint and tiny white daisies in their hair. Along with the accessories, their bikinis were full of colorful patterns and tie-dye designs.
The Frankies Bikinis runway show was full of sassiness and fun as the models paraded around with signs reading “Free The Nipple”.
Luli Fama's models strutted the runway in tribal print and crochet pieces. Inspired by the spirit of Africa, and the feistiness of Latin culture, Luli Fama opened their show with a spectacular, out- of-this-world fire dance. Already captivated by the opening act, the audience was even more amazed when the models came out in their sexy swimsuits and cover-ups.
Sporty and flirty, Maaji brought both activewear and swimwear to the catwalk. The audience was obsessed with their adorable matching sport bras and leggings. This collection made everyone want to sign up to a gym! Maaji’s boys and girls also came out rocking athletic swimsuits with intricate designs and adventurous accessories.
Opening with an incredible choreography, San Lorenzo and it’s safari inspired swimsuits wowed the audience. Models walked out with wild masks, cuffs, and woven baskets, as well as flowers and colorful ribbons to decorate their hair.
Our experience at this year’s swim week was definitely one to remember. Every show was beautiful in its own way as designers from all around the world incorporated their own culture and positive messages in their collections and runway performances.
