It seems certain people are born for big things, and Lily isn’t an exception. Born into a fashion family, it seems her future was already mapped out from the beginning, and she’s definitely lived up to it. Only in her early 30’s, Lily has managed to not only build a great career in the fashion industry, but she’s also built a great family life as well.

Lily Aldridge Bio
As mentioned above, it seems like it was pretty much inevitable she’d get into the modeling business. According to her wiki bio, Lily was born to an artist father and a playboy model mother. Her siblings have also gotten into the fashion business via modeling and photography. Lily herself is credited with getting behind the camera as well, shooting a campaign she’d starred in previously. Shows it’s never too early or late to try new things and set oneself up for a new career one day.
Victoria's Secret Model
She’s been in the business since her mid-teens, and she’s definitely racked up some impressive credits. Besides being the face of brands like GAP and J Crew, she’s also landed two very iconic gigs during her career. The first was being featured in Victoria’s Secret shows, starting in 2009. She would walk the runway every year since then, recently showing off a “Class of 2017” shot in Instagram. She also became an official Angel for the brand in 2010.
Her other big gig was being part of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, appearing for the magazine’s 50th anniversary issue. There, she was able to work alongside some of the biggest names in modeling, which was sure to have helped her in the years since.
The IMG-repped model has also appeared in music videos for Taylor Swift, as well as for husband Caleb Followill’s band Kings of Leon.
Lily Aldridge Gives Back
Lily has been using her fame in positive ways. First, she recently participated in a campaign for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The campaign was promoted in an US Weekly article, where she talked about the importance of the hospital, and what it does for kids. The campaign was designed to coincide with #GivingTuesday, and aimed to raise as much as possible to ensure children and their families can continue to benefit from the organization.
She’s also been very vocal about encouraging women to stand up for themselves in the industry, as well as warning people about the dangers of letting oneself get too caught up in social media drama. She was quoted in a Daily Mail feature as hoping that future generations become a little more private online.
She’s got over five million people following her on Instagram as @lilyaldridge, where she spreads empowering messages, her latest campaigns, and advocates for children’s charities. She goes by the same handle on Twitter, where she’s followed by over 900 thousand.
