Giovanna Battaglia Englebert might just be the proof that Italians really do do it better, at least when it comes to fashion. This stylist and fashion editor is a sensation when it comes to her street style. She’s known for mixing outlandish colors and prints with striking silhouettes and sleep tailoring.
The Milan native got her start in fashion at the age of 17 and it’s hardly a surprise that she creates such a social media stir, the former Dolce & Gabbana model documents her fashion success to her Instagram masses, of which there are almost a million. She may be an Italian born star, but she now lives in New York. She worked with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for years, and eventually managed to make her dream of becoming a stylist and editor come true.

She was the fashion editor of L’Uomo Vogue under Anna Dello Russo, and contributed to publications, such as Vogue Paris, Vogue China, Vogue Germany, Exit, and Garage Magazine.
She was named Vogue Gioiello and Pelle’s Fashion Direction in 2009, and in 2001, she moved from Milan to New York to fulfil her role with W Magazine. It was there she created her column, Gio’s Journal. By this point the New York Times was calling her both a fashion heroine and a cyber icon.
Battaglia Englebert is most known for her chic, polished, and sophisticated looks that are infused with a sense of adventure and fun. Her style continually grabs the attention of the fashion industry’s leading creatives. In addition to Dolce & Gabbana, she has worked with Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Saks Fifth Avenue, Christian Dior, Nancy Gonzalez, Bulgaria, Veneta, Fendi, and more! These big brands turn to Englebert for artistic design, consultant work, advertising campaigns, creative direction, and communications strategies.
In addition to working with some of the biggest names and brands in fashion, she has also worked with noted photographers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Paolo Roversi, Peter Lindbergh, Boo George, Tom Munro, Patrick Demarchelier, Terry Richardson, Roe Ethridge, and Richard Burbridge.

In 2016 she married her husband, Oscar Englebert, and there is much to tell about her wedding. It took place in two countries, over four events, and she had six different outfits! Her dresses were spectacular, show stoppers.
