Giovanna Englebert

Giovanna Battaglia Englebert might just be the proof that Italians really do do it better, at least when it comes to fashion. This stylist and fashion editor is a sensation when it comes to her street style. She’s known for mixing outlandish colors and prints with striking silhouettes and sleep tailoring.

The Milan native got her start in fashion at the age of 17 and it’s hardly a surprise that she creates such a social media stir, the former Dolce & Gabbana model documents her fashion success to her Instagram masses, of which there are almost a million. She may be an Italian born star, but she now lives in New York. She worked with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for years, and eventually managed to make her dream of becoming a stylist and editor come true.

What Giovanna Does

She was the fashion editor of L’Uomo Vogue under Anna Dello Russo, and contributed to publications, such as Vogue Paris, Vogue China, Vogue Germany, Exit, and Garage Magazine.

She was named Vogue Gioiello and Pelle’s Fashion Direction in 2009, and in 2001, she moved from Milan to New York to fulfil her role with W Magazine. It was there she created her column, Gio’s Journal. By this point the New York Times was calling her both a fashion heroine and a cyber icon.
